Roll-Top Camp Table, $100
What It’s Good For: Made of kiln-dried hardwood, with zinc-plated braces at midleg as a defense against restless guests, this camping table is nice enough to use as is for lunch; add a tablecloth for four to dine elegantly. It’s 28 by 44 by 30 inches but packs down to 8 by 44 by 8 when you detach the tabletop, roll it up, and stash it with the legs in the storage bag.

Outdoor Folding Table, $249
What It’s Good For: Constructed of nyatoh, a weather-resistant hardwood, this 29-by-72-by-30-inch table seats six comfortably (eight in a pinch). The legs are reinforced by crossbars, which give this stowable piece the solidity of a picnic table without the bulk. The legs collapse in, and the tabletop easily folds in half lengthwise.
