What is your most cherished family tradition?

My mother always made a big deal out of birthdays. She would hang streamers outside our bedroom door with a card at eye level telling us of the joy she felt on the day we were born. This early-morning ritual (accompanied by a small gift) never failed to make us feel special and deeply loved, and so I have continued it with my own sons.
