Standard: One year, all parts and labor; two to five years on the motor, drain pump, and electronic panels.
Extended: For $100 to $130, you add two to four years of coverage on labor. Most parts are already covered for up to five years.

Common Problems

Junk gets caught in the pump. "I've found everything in there from pennies to jewelry," says Robert Rucco, owner of Call Roberts, an appliance-repair business in White Plains, New York. This can happen anytime, from the first day you have the machine. Fixing the pump costs about $90.
