Problem: Stretched-out cuffs

Solution: Temporarily tighten loose cuffs on a wool or cotton sweater by dampening them with hot water, then drying them with a hair dryer. The hot water and the dryer's heat will both cause shrinkage. "Sometimes even using a hot iron is enough to contract fabric," says Julie Ray, a Los Angeles-based stylist for television and movies.
