How do you get ahead for the holidays?

When school starts in September, I prepare a big dry-erase calendar. By Halloween I know I have to choose a photo for the holiday cards. After Halloween I have to start shopping for gifts, and so forth. Being able to see four months at a glance helps me with the big picture.
