How do you get ahead for the holidays?

I lost my job in the Internet collapse, and money is tight and time even tighter as I bounce among freelance jobs. So this year I'm making a compilation of my favorite music for friends and family. I started choosing the music in the summer, and burning the CDs should take no longer than a day.
