We all know the result of tossing things in a drawer: chaos. A better idea: partitions, so that like can be stored with like. Your choice is ready-made trays or drawer dividers. If you're short on space, consider a double-tiered sliding tray, which can be placed in a drawer. Keep frequently used items on the top, everything else on the bottom. The Container Store also sells plastic strips that can be scored and snapped apart to create any size compartment. Price: $10 to $19 for four.
