Le Creuset Skill Grill (shown here)
BOLD {Price:}] $115
Appearance & Taste: Great grill marks, beautiful browning overall, food stays extremely moist and juicy.
Cleanup: Very easy. Let the pan cool, soak in warm water for 15 minutes, then wipe with a sponge.
Special Features: Cast iron provides the best even heating and heat retention. This one comes with an enamel coating, so no seasoning is needed. A bit heavier than the average pan, but well worth it.
Real Simple Rating:Best
Lodge Cast Iron Grill Pan
Price: $20
Appearance & Taste: Great grill marks, beautiful browning overall, food is very moist and juicy.

Special Features: Its only flaw is its weight. This one takes two hands to lift.
Real Simple Rating: Between better and best
All Clad Grill Pan
Price: $130
Appearance & Taste: Outside often chars before food cooks through. Indistinct grill marks.
Cleanup: Very easy. Wipes clean with a damp paper towel.
Special Features: Nonstick. Very light, but shallow ridges means it functions more like a saute pan.
Real Simple Rating: Good
Le Creuset Mini Reversible Grill
Price: $75
Appearance & Taste: Like the All Clad pan, this one tends to char before cooking food through. Food has tendency to stick and grill marks are indistinct.

Special Features: Fits neatly over one burner. Functions as both a grill and a griddle. Ridges too shallow and close together to impart good grill marks. Gets very hot and has no handles.
Real Simple Rating: Good.
