What are your back-to-school traditions?
When I was a child, I attended a Catholic school, and my mother
would receive a list of school supplies at the time of
registration. After shopping for books and supplies, we would
cover my books with nice wrapping paper, put all the supplies in
a plastic container, sharpen pencils, and prepare my uniform.
(She would have to repeat this ritual with my sisters and
brother, one at a time.) I remember this very clearly. It was a
special time I spent alone with my mother before I had to go
back to school.
