What are your back-to-school traditions?

Other than the usual back-to-school rituals — new clothes, pencils, crayons, and rulers — we always have a goofy-dinner night. I'm not sure how this started, but every year on the evening before the first day of school, we go to our local ice-cream store and have — you guessed it — ice cream for dinner.
