What are your back-to-school traditions?

When our first child was at the university level, and from then on, we made a tradition of all going out to dinner to a special restaurant just before they headed off to school. It was a command performance — no guests, no cell phones, no late arrivals. Nobody had to do the shopping, the prep, the cleanup, or answer the phones. We just enjoyed each other. It gave us time to catch up after a busy summer (often in different places) and to talk about plans for the upcoming year.
