Which holiday traditions do you happily ignore?

I ignore the holiday-card ritual. Most of the cards I receive seem impersonal — unsigned and computer generated, with printed mailing labels and generic notes. Instead, I send cards when they are unexpected. My daughters and I make homemade Valentine's Day cards in January, when we have more time to enjoy the ritual and personalize the messages.
