Jeremy Samuelson

This one falls into the category of true envy: After all, it was a man who suggested that the lining of a Burberry raincoat could
double as a bathrobe. So to pack like a man, try thinking like one.
Thought No. 1: Double duty. Thought No. 2: Repetition.
Nobody notices if a man wears the same suit two days in a row or even five if he changes his shirt and tie. Pack color in the form of a single bright scarf or contrasting top; add a touch of glamour and a different look with a couple of pairs of earrings.
Carry your
coat over your arm, wear a pullover under a suit jacket, and choose related neutrals that flatter your coloring.
Bring shirts
and sweaters in fabrics that stretch and fit jersey, Lycra,
cashmere.
Don't bring more than two pairs of shoes: Wear heels coming and going (if you wear them at all), and bring flats or
sandals, which can double as slippers.
Do it right and you'll have room for a wild card a nightgown that doubles as an evening dress, perhaps? that you'd otherwise have to leave at home.
