Most down and synthetic-down comforters are machine-washable. Use a mild detergent, such as Woolite, on a cool temperature setting. Dry the comforter on a delicate setting and throw in a couple of tennis balls to help keep the down from clumping.
Care Tip: Since frequent washing will affect the down's loft, limit cleaning to twice a year--or every three to five years by using a comforter cover. To control dampness between washings, hang your comforter inside or on a clothesline.
