The Art of Clean
I mop the kitchen tile floor by putting rock and roll on the stereo and a pair of old, thick cotton socks on my feet. After spraying a fine mist of half vinegar and half alcohol on the surface, I dance until the floor is spotless. I get a clean floor and a good aerobic workout as well.

I hate to devote an entire day to cleaning, so I try to do a little every day. While the kids are taking a bath, I wipe down the bathroom toilet, counters, and floors. While I’m waiting for a meal to cook, I sweep the floor and wipe down counters or clean out the refrigerator. When I’m talking to a friend on the phone, I put things away or fold clothes. It’s so much easier to have these mini cleaning sessions instead of a back-breaking day of cleaning.

With crumbs and bits of food everywhere, a toddler at my feet, and a four-year-old always in need of something, the fastest way to clean up is our dog. Our floors would be a wreck without him. In minutes he can slurp up anything, from Cheerios to cheese. He’s far more thorough than my vacuum could ever be, and he’s happy to help.

Baby wipes don’t only clean up a cute little bottom; they also clean up almost everything else: baseboards, shelves, dashboards, refrigerators, and all the little parts on toys. They work wonders in the bathroom and almost every room in the house.
