Breast Cancer
Once-a-year mammography, beginning at age 40. Breast exams by your gynecologist or doctor every three years during your 20s and 30s, and every year after 40. Monthly breast self-exams beginning in your 20s.

Colorectal Cancer
Beginning at age 50, men and women at average risk should have a colonoscopy every 10 years.

Cervical Cancer
An annual gynecological exam starting at age 21 or three years after your first sexual intercourse. A liquid-based Pap test every two years.

Skin Cancer
Skin exams by a dermatologist every three years between the ages of 20 and 40 and annually after age 40 (earlier if you’ve had a significant amount of sun exposure or skin cancer in your family). Monthly self-checks for moles that are asymmetrical; bleed; have irregular borders, color, or texture; or are larger in diameter than a pencil eraser.
