While mobile-phone companies are compiling a national directory of cell-phone numbers (of consenting customers only) this spring, telemarketers will not have access to it. For good measure, go to the National Do Not Call Registry (www.donotcall.gov) or call 888-382-1222 to place your cell-phone number on the telemarketing do-not-call list.
