  • If the cork breaks while you’re opening the bottle, you can strain the wine with a coffee filter. Place the filter over a pitcher or a carafe and slowly pour the wine into it.
  • Keep wine chilled with an ice pack. Wrap a straight-from-the-freezer cold compress around the bottle and secure it with a rubber band. Disguise with a pretty tea towel when you’re entertaining.
  • Keep track of wineglasses at parties with personalized paper wine tags that fit snugly around the stems of wineglasses. They’re widely available at party stores.
