Orange-Chili Shrimp Cocktail
Forget the basic shrimp cocktails of yesteryear. This contemporary concoction is actually a delicious dip, served with tortilla chips. And while it’s super easy to prepare, it’s bursting with flavor (and suggests you put even more effort into the party at hand). After cooking a pound of shrimp, you’ll marinate it in a mixture of sliced jalapeño, orange and lime juice and chopped cilantro and red onion. Sure, certain ingredients and the chips might suggest this is the ideal hors d’oeuvres for taco night, but the bright, fresh dish compliments a wide variety of main courses.
