How to Cook Corn on the Cob

This classic summer side couldn’t be any simpler.

What You Need

  1. Check Corn on the cob
  2. Check Kosher salt
  3. Check Unsalted butter

Follow These Steps

  1. Shuck corn, removing all of the silk from the cobs. (Tip: To get at stubborn threads of silk, use a clean toothbrush: the bristles will lift them away quickly and efficiently.)

  2. Fill a large pot of water ¾ full with water and bring to a boil.

  3. Add the corn and cover. Cook for 5 minutes.

  4. Drain corn. Transfer to a platter and serve with butter and salt.
