This week's episode of "Things Cooks Know," hosted by Real Simple editors Sarah Humphreys and Sarah Karnasiewicz, has been transformed into Cooking 101 for cooks who lack confidence in the kitchen. Their guest Sam Zabell, editorial assistant at and host of another Real Simple podcast, "Adulthood Made Easy," asks all of the questions you might be too nervous to ask. A few of her questions: "Is it wrong to put food in an oven before the oven is preheated?" "What food containers are OK to microwave?" "What's the difference between baking powder and baking soda—and can you substitute one for the other?"
