The mimosa recipe isn’t rocket science—but like so many simple tasks, attention to detail can make all the difference. In this case, that means making sure you use the best orange juice you can find—whether you buy it or squeeze it yourself—and keeping all the components icy cold right until go time. Feeling extra classy? Go ahead and finish each flute with a dash of orange bitters.

  1. Check 2 ounces fresh-squeezed orange juice, chilled
  2. Check 4 ounces dry sparkling wine, chilled
  3. Check Orange bitters, optional

  1. Add orange juice to a chilled flute glass and top with sparkling wine. Finish with a dash or two of orange bitters, if desired.
