- 1/2 fresh jalapeno, sliced
- 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 small tomato, cut into small dice
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- Place the jalapeno in a mortar and mash to release the juices. Scoop the avocado flesh into the mortar. Add the lime juice and cilantro and crush until chunky. Add the tomato, mix well, and season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
