- 1 loaf of French bread
- unsalted butter, to taste
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt, to taste
- Heat oven to 400º F or a grill to medium-high. Slice a French loaf in half lengthwise. Spread the halves with butter.
- Mince garlic and sprinkle over the buttered bread. Add salt to taste.
- Put the halves together, wrap in foil, and place in oven or on a grill. Heat until the bread is golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
