Ingredients

  1. Check 2pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  2. Check 2cups fresh cranberries
  3. Check 3/4cup sugar
  4. Check 3tablespoons cornstarch
  5. Check 1teaspoon grated lemon zest
  6. Check 1/2teaspoon cinnamon
  7. Check 1/4teaspoon kosher salt
  8. Check 9-inch basic flaky piecrust, unbaked
  9. Check 1/2cup granola
  10. Check 4tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. In a large bowl, toss together apples, cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Transfer the mixture to the piecrust. Top with granola and dot with butter.
  3. Bake until the apples are tender, 50 to 60 minutes. (If the top darkens too quickly, tent loosely with foil.) Let cool before serving.
