Cherry Manhattan

There's not a smidge of whiskey in the recipe—but there's certainly nothing childish about this sexy, smoky, tea- and black-cherry infused riff on the Manhattan. For maximum effect, garnish it with real Maraschino cherries, like those sold under the Luxardo name.

Ingredients

  1. Check 3 ounces strong black tea (preferably lapsang souchong), chilled
  2. Check 3 ounces pure cherry juice
  3. Check 1 tablespoon grenadine
  4. Check 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  5. Check Maraschino cherries, optional

Directions

  1. Combine the tea, juice, and grenadine in an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Stir and top with bitters. Garnish with cherries, if desired.
