Cheese-End Fondue

Ingredients
- 1 pound firm white cheese (such as Gruyere, Cheddar, or fontina), grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup dry white wine
Directions
- In a medium bowl, toss the cheese and cornstarch. In a medium saucepan, bring the wine to a boil. Gradually add the cheese mixture, whisking until melted and thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Serve with bread cubes, cooked potatoes, dried fruit, pears, apples, or grapes.
