- 2 pounds quartered Yukon Gold potatoes
- 6 tablespoons cubed unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup warm buttermilk
- Bring potatoes to a boil in salted water.
- Reduce heat and simmer until tender, 20 to 25 min.; drain.
- Add butter, salt, and black pepper. Mash until well combined. Stir in buttermilk.
