Bourbon and Orange Pecan Pie

  1. Check Basic Flaky Piecrust
  2. Check or 1 store-bought piecrust, fitted into a 9-inch pie plate
  3. Check 1cup light corn syrup
  4. Check 3/4cup light brown sugar
  5. Check 4tablespoons unsalted butter (1/2 stick), melted
  6. Check 3 large eggs
  7. Check 2tablespoons bourbon (or 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract)
  8. Check 1/2teaspoon grated orange zest
  9. Check 1/2teaspoon kosher salt
  10. Check 2cups pecan halves


  1. Set an oven rack in the lowest position and heat oven to 350º F. Place the pie plate on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, butter, eggs, bourbon, orange zest, and salt. Stir in the pecans.
  3. Pour the pecan mixture into the crust and bake until the center is set, 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool to room temperature before serving.
