- 1 cup honey
- 10 fresh basil leaves, bruised
- Add honey and basil to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Warm honey until it is loose and runny, about 6 minutes, but do not allow it to come to a boil. Remove pan from heat and and let cool for 15-20 minutes. (This allows the flavor to deepen.) Discard basil and transfer honey to a glass jar.
