Heat broiler.Split the bagel and, dividing evenly, top the bagel halves with the prosciutto, tomato, onion, and Gruyère.Broil until the cheese is melted and golden brown, 2 to 4 minutes.Sprinkle with ⅛ teaspoon pepper.  

Ingredients

  1. Check 1 poppy seed bagel
  2. Check 4 slices prosciutto
  3. Check 1 small tomato, sliced
  4. Check 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  5. Check 2 ounces Gruyère or Cheddar, sliced
  6. Check black pepper

Directions

  1. Heat broiler.
  2. Split the bagel and, dividing evenly, top the bagel halves with the prosciutto, tomato, onion, and Gruyère.
  3. Broil until the cheese is melted and golden brown, 2 to 4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with ⅛ teaspoon pepper.
