Bacon-Cheddar Grits

Cook the grits according to the package directions.

Add the Cheddar, butter, and ¼ teaspoon each salt and pepper and stir to combine.

Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, tossing often, until crisp, 6 to 8 minutes.

Ingredients

  1. Check 1/2 cup grits
  2. Check 2 ounces Cheddar, grated (about 1/2 cup)
  3. Check 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  4. Check Kosher salt and black pepper
  5. Check 4 slices bacon, chopped
  6. Check Chopped fresh chives, for serving

Directions

  4. Top the grits with the bacon and chives.
