5 Amazing Bloody Mary Garnishes

No one’s complaining about a lemon wedge and celery stick. But once you have your Bloody Mary recipe down pat, why not try taking the classic up a notch with these five combinations? Just make sure to stock up on long, sturdy toothpicks first.

Pickled Shrimp

Place three large, cooked shrimp onto a toothpick with cornichons and cocktail onions and rest it across the top of the glass. Slide a couple of pickled green beans into the drink. Add a lemon wedge to the rim.

Caprese

Thread roasted cherry tomatoes and bocconcini (mini fresh mozzarella) onto a large toothpick and rest it across the top of the glass. Garnish drink with a sprig of fresh basil.

Smoky Bacon

Slide two strips of cooked bacon into the glass, and skewer them together with a whole pickled jalapeno. Bonus point: try swapping out vodka for mezcal or tequila.

Briny Blue Cheese

Place blue cheese-stuffed olives onto a large toothpick with grilled bell peppers. Thread peppers onto the pick by folding them like an accordion. Rest toothpick against the side of the glass.

Raw Bar

Slide an untrimmed celery stalk into the drink. Place two lemon wedges on the rim of the glass and balance a raw oyster on the half shell on top.
