In just 10 years, this attention to detail has helped the 36-year-old evolve from a fresh-faced intern to a seasoned designer of her own clothing and accessory lines, including Rachel Roy New York and Rachel Rachel Roy, an affordable line sold at Macy’s. The mother of two (Ava, 10, and Tullulah, 1½) takes pride in her modern fashion approach. “I don’t believe there should be rules,” she says. “Do what feels right to you.” Spoken like a true trendsetter.
