When you’re too tired to change out of your clothes before bed, let alone wash your face, remove your makeup with these in-a-pinch-only strategies.

  • At the very least, wet a soft washcloth with warm water and gently move it around your face in a circular motion.
  • For a quick water-free cleanse, take a few seconds to apply moisturizer, then tissue it off, says Diane Berson, a New York City dermatologist.
  • The best substitute for makeup removal and a face washing: Keep a stash of cleansing cloths in your nightstand. Run one over your face, using both sides, then hit the lights.
