How To: Apply Metallic Eye Shadow

Dramatic, frosty eye-makeup looks were all over runways this fall. To adapt this look to your off-the-runway life, pick a favorite precious metal and follow these steps, courtesy of makeup artist Bobbi Brown.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Eye shadow in a darker metallic shade
  • eye shadow brush
  • black eye pencil
  • eye shadow in a lighter metallic shade
  • mascara
  1. Sweep shadow over lids

    Sweep metallic shadow on the lids, staying below the brow bones. (Shown here: Sonia Kashuk Enhance Eye Shadow in Steel, $6, target.com for locations.   2. Lightly line rims in black

    Using a black eye pencil, lightly line the upper and lower rims, focusing on the outer corners.

  3. Lighten the inner corners
