How to Clean Suede: Removing Water Stains
What You Need

First, let your suede jacket dry fully at room temperature for about 24 hours. If there’s any mud caked on, let it dry too. Once everything is dry, use a nylon-bristled brush, like a toothbrush, to sweep away the dried mud.

Once the mud is gone, use a suede eraser to feather the edges of any water marks you see.
Tip: If you don’t have a suede eraser, you can use a damp kitchen sponge.

Once the water marks have vanished, brush the surface with a velvet lint brush to lift the nap—the raised surface of the leather—back
up, restoring the material’s textured look.
Tip: You can use the exact same process for suede shoes—just be extra gentle as you’re working on them.
